The restaurant and "Boutiquehotel Aichinger" is located in the centre of Nussdorf, a small village on Lake Attersee in Upper Austria. It is one of the oldest inns in the region, with over 200 years of history. The focus has always been on enjoyment. Guests should feel at home all round. In keeping with this principle, the family business decided to redesign the outdoor catering area with awnings from markilux.

Since then, a sophisticated awning system from markilux has protected the outdoor terrace of the "Boutiquehotel Aichinger" on Lake Attersee from the sun and light rain. The gnarled chestnut trees between the rows of tables are particularly inviting. They have been skilfully integrated into the concept of the facility, which consists of three awning models.

Solar protection

The inviting outdoor terrace of the "Boutiquehotel Aichinger" in Nussdorf am Attersee, Austria, has a good 80 seats. Three systems were combined to shade the more than 100 square metres with awnings: the "pergola stretch", "syncra" and "pergola classic" models. Generous sun and all-weather protection from markilux now provides shade.

Rain cover

In order to be able to use the terrace regardless of the weather, the restaurateur has chosen solar protection that can also be used in light rain and allows guests to sit in the dry. This not only increases the comfort of the guests, but also the caterer's ability to plan ahead.

Warmth

Outdoor catering is usually an extended dining area that is mainly used in the summer months. Infrared heaters have been integrated into the high-quality weather protection in order to benefit from the outdoor area even outside the summer months. This keeps guests seated for longer, even in cooler temperatures.

Cosy atmosphere

A cosy atmosphere was high on the hotel owner's wish list. An LED system for cosy light in the evening hours is therefore also part of the awning system.

Preserving the chestnut trees

Gnarled, partly espaliered chestnut trees line the tables on the terrace. As part of the hotel's history, they were to be given a permanent place in the concept of the awning system. The combination of different awning models meant that the majority of the trees could be preserved.
