Through our years of experience as awning experts, we have developed many useful tools over the years that should make choosing the right awning as easy as possible for you:
What kind of awning is the markilux 8800?
The markilux 8800 is an on-glass awning with a round cassette that can be mounted on patio roofs or conservatories.
How does the markilux 8800 model differ from the markilux 7800?
The markilux 8800 and markilux 7800 on-glass awnings differ only in the design of the cassette. This allows you to choose the shape of the cassette to match the architecture of your house or the shape of the conservatory or patio roof. The markilux 8800 impresses with a round cassette, the markilux 7800 fits cubic buildings thanks to its angular design.
How to operate the markilux 8800 on-glass awning?
You can conveniently control the markilux 8800 model by (radio) motor: with remote control, by app or by means of sensors that automatically react to the respective weather conditions.
What are the advantages of an on-glass awning like the markilux 8800 for conservatories and patio roofs?
On-glass awnings such as the markilux 8800 have the advantage that the awning cover intercepts sun rays before they can enter the conservatory. This means that heat build-up inside can be minimized. By mounting the awning outside, the full room height is maintained.
What area can be covered with the markilux 8800?
Thanks to the sophisticated counter tensioning technology and the stable construction, a single awning can shade an area of up to 36 m² (with tracfix 30 m²). For larger areas, up to five awnings can be coupled, so that a maximum area of 180 m² can be realized.
What wind resistance class does the markilux 8800 have?
The markilux 8800 has wind resistance class 3, which means you can use the awning up to wind strength 6 (38-48 km/h).
What are the special features of a markilux 8800 with tracfix (secure cover guidance zip technology without gap between cover and guide track)?
On request, the markilux 8800 on-glass awning can be equipped with tracfix (secure cover guidance zip technology without gap between cover and guide track). This means that the awning has a continuous lateral fabric cover without a gap between fabric cover and guide track. This results in greater wind stability and a more attractive appearance. With tracfix, the markilux 8800 is available in the following maximum sizes (width × draw): 500 × 600 cm / 550 × 500 cm / 600 × 450 cm.
In addition to sun protection from above, I would also like to equip my conservatory or patio roof with awnings on the sides. Are there products that are suitable to complement the markilux 8800?
For all-round protection, we recommend vertical blinds as a supplement to markilux 8800. In addition to protection from low-lying sun, vertical blinds also serve as privacy and wind protection.
Can I see the markilux 8800 model in a showroom?
For a better impression of the awning and the equipment options, you are welcome to visit a markilux showroom. Alternatively, the showrooms of our markilux specialist partners offer the opportunity to experience products live and compare them with each other. Find a specialist partner near you.
