The sunvas fabric with special perforation technology stands for pleasant transparency as well as good light and air permeability. We recommend transolair for markilux shadeplus, side screens as well as for window and glass roof awnings.
The perforated awning cover allows a view of the outdoors while protecting you from outside gazes.
It ensures air exchange between the fabric cover and the glass.
Accumulated heat is reduced.
The formation of water pockets is minimized.
The flame-retardant and waterproof sunvas fabric with transparent cloth underside should be used wherever special fire protection regulations must be complied with, protection against rain is desired and a decorative effect is required.

Woven-in reed gaps make the sunsilk fabric permeable to water and air. The risk of the formation of water pockets in rain and accumulated heat in strong sunlight is reduced. The aluminum coating of the 332 ... series further reduces heat gain. The weather-resistant finish also provides "protection against dirt" and ensures excellent water repellency.

How do creases form?
Creases occur when the sun protection fabric is made up and folded. In the folded area, a dark line can become visible against the light, especially with light colours, which is caused by creasing of the fibres (light refraction).
Puckering around the seams and in the panels
These can occur along the side seams, in the seam area and in the centre of the panels. The fabric cover is doubled at the seams. This results in different roll-up diameters. The tension created by the folding-arms, the tesioning system, the sagging of the winding shaft and/or the front profile can favour these effects. Puckering can also occur if a "water pocket, water trough" has formed during heavy rain.
How resistant to rain is my awning cover?
Solar protection fabrics are impregnated with a water-repellent finish and remain resistant to rain during a short, light rainfall when used according to the manufacturer's instructions and at an angle of pitch of at least 14°. During longer periods of wetness and/or heavy rainfall, the awning must remain closed or be retracted to prevent damage. Once the fabric cover has become wet, the awning must be extended again to dry immediately after the rain to avoid mould stains.
What are side hems?
The fabric cover is usually kept almost permanently under tension by an active spring system. Seams and hems act as a reinforcement, but must also be able to withstand the greatest stress. When the fabric cover is rolled up, the hems and seams lie on top of each other, which increases the pressure and tension. As a result, they are particularly stressed and stretched. This can cause the side seams to hang down slightly when the awning is extended.
How do I care for my awning cover properly?
Dust can be removed with a soft brush when dry. Leaves and similar soiling should be removed immediately. Small stains should be removed with water and a commercially available, preferably liquid mild detergent (5 per cent soap solution, water temperature max. 30 °C). Rinse thoroughly with water.
